Scania Reports Strong Q2 2026 Results as Orders Jump 41% and Service Business Drives Growth

Scania delivered a strong financial performance in the second quarter of 2026, reporting higher revenues, increased vehicle deliveries and a significant rise in customer orders despite continued uncertainty across global markets.

According to the company's official financial report, net sales increased by 6% to SEK 53.1 billion, while the adjusted operating margin reached 11.6%. Vehicle deliveries rose 7% to 26,274 units, and incoming orders climbed 41%, reaching 28,743 vehicles during the quarter.

One of the key drivers behind Scania's performance was the continued growth of its service business. Maintenance contracts, connected services, fleet management solutions and financial services contributed significantly to profitability, highlighting the increasing importance of lifecycle support for commercial vehicle operators.

The company also reported continued progress in zero-emission transport. During the quarter, Scania delivered 265 battery-electric vehicles and received 321 new zero-emission vehicle orders. In addition, the company introduced its new Megawatt Charging System (MCS) and expanded its battery offering for long-haul electric transport.

Strong market demand in Brazil, supported by the Move Brazil financing programme, together with increased production of the NEXT ERA truck range in China, also contributed to the sharp increase in new orders.

Commenting on the results, Christian Levin, President and CEO of Scania and TRATON Group, stated that the company's integrated offering of vehicles, services and digital solutions continues to strengthen customer value despite ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainties.

Scania's second-quarter results underline a broader trend across the global commercial vehicle industry: sustainable profitability is increasingly being driven not only by vehicle sales, but also by aftersales services, digital solutions and long-term customer support.
