A New Business Model for Entrepreneurs in Logistics
Oregon Teknoloji, which operates in customs technologies and transit guarantees, is introducing a business model based on the sharing economy through its new company, Ucuza Yükle.
Announced at a press conference, the model enables entrepreneurs who are unable to operate independently due to capital requirements, creditworthiness constraints and operational costs to work as profit-sharing partners by utilizing an existing corporate infrastructure.
Through this approach, Ucuza Yükle aims to expand opportunities for independent entrepreneurship in logistics, create employment and improve operational efficiency.
Selçuk Yılmaz: “We Are Revolutionizing Efficiency in Logistics”
Selçuk Yılmaz, CEO of Oregon and Ucuza Yükle, stated that the initiative would open a new chapter for entrepreneurship in the logistics industry.
Explaining that establishing a company requires sufficient cash flow to cover capital requirements, operating licenses, operational expenses and management costs, Yılmaz said:
“With Ucuza Yükle, we are revolutionizing efficiency in logistics. Instead of requiring entrepreneurs to open their own businesses from scratch, we offer them a place within an already established structure. We also eliminate financial risks for professionals who are confident in their capabilities.”
Oregon Teknoloji's Paid-In Capital Reaches TRY 300 Million
Yılmaz noted that many experienced logistics professionals want to establish their own businesses but are unable to do so because of capital requirements and operational expenses.
Emphasizing the importance of financing, he explained:
“Establishing a logistics company is not simply about finding customers. Expenses such as offices, personnel, operating licenses, guarantees and financing place a significant burden on entrepreneurs. Furthermore, in transport operations, carriers often need to be paid in advance, while payments from customers are collected later, increasing financing requirements. Our aim is to remove the obstacles facing entrepreneurs and enable them to sustain and grow their businesses.”
Yılmaz announced that Oregon Teknoloji had increased its paid-in capital to TRY 300 million, providing the financial foundation for Ucuza Yükle.
He emphasized that this capital structure would provide significant security in meeting entrepreneurs' financing needs, while timely payments to transport suppliers would strengthen the model's competitiveness.
A Five-Year Project with Two Years of Testing
Selçuk Yılmaz explained that Ucuza Yükle is more than the establishment of a new logistics company. The project has been designed as a comprehensive digital transformation initiative focused on the future of the industry.
According to Yılmaz, the project has been under consideration for approximately five years, with the business model undergoing testing over the past two years.
He pointed out that digitalization in logistics has largely remained limited to vehicle tracking and operational software.
Describing the company's digital transformation vision, Yılmaz said:
“While almost every industry in Türkiye and around the world is undergoing digital transformation, unfortunately, in logistics, this concept has rarely progressed beyond vehicle tracking or internal operational software.
“However, the transformation created by digital marketplaces in other industries also offers enormous potential for transportation.
“What we want to establish is a system in which freight requests are made digitally, professionals with transport capacity can undertake these shipments, and the entire process is managed through technology.
“This requires an extensive database, strong infrastructure and long-term preparation. With Ucuza Yükle, we are taking the first step toward this transformation today. We have also developed our two-, five- and ten-year action plans in line with this vision.”
Target: USD 20 Billion in Revenue Within Ten Years
Selçuk Yılmaz stated that Ucuza Yükle's growth strategy is built around international transportation rather than focusing solely on domestic logistics operations in Türkiye.
He explained that the company aims to operate in international markets, particularly European countries such as Spain, Italy and Poland.
“Our business model is not designed around domestic transportation from one point in Türkiye to another. We are entirely focused on international transportation.
“Our target is to achieve USD 20 billion in revenue within ten years. To accomplish this, we need to facilitate approximately USD 250 billion in global trade volume.
“We plan to expand the infrastructure we have established in Türkiye through representative offices and liaison networks abroad.
“This is not merely about today's business environment. Our objective is to develop a logistics business model for the next ten years.”
Enes Kaya: “The Project Was Shaped by Strong Demand from the Industry”
Enes Kaya, Commercial Director of Ucuza Yükle, stated that the project had been developed in response to strong demand from logistics professionals.
Kaya explained that the company had created a new working model particularly for experienced professionals currently employed by established companies who wish to start their own businesses.
He highlighted market risks, licensing requirements and financing barriers as major obstacles facing entrepreneurs.
“Ucuza Yükle offers an important opportunity for logistics professionals who believe in their capabilities and customer portfolios,” Kaya said.
A Win-Win Business Model for Logistics
Emphasizing the opportunities offered by the model to both entrepreneurs and the logistics industry, Enes Kaya explained that Ucuza Yükle would assume the financial and operational burdens of entrepreneurs while sharing the profits generated with participating professionals.
According to Kaya, this approach allows entrepreneurs to develop their businesses without incurring substantial initial investment costs.
Instead of allocating their resources to operational expenses, participants can focus on expanding their customer portfolios and growing their businesses.
Kaya stated that the company welcomes experienced logistics professionals with established customer portfolios who aspire to run their own businesses.
These professionals will be able to develop their operations by benefiting from the company's existing corporate infrastructure.
He also emphasized the company's commitment to improving efficiency through a personalized, boutique service approach, enabling professionals to focus on smaller groups of customers and enhance service quality.
Artificial Intelligence to Reduce Operational Workload
Artificial intelligence technologies are also an important component of Ucuza Yükle's digital transformation strategy.
Enes Kaya revealed that approximately 25–30% of the company's current system utilizes artificial intelligence.
In the long term, the company envisions an infrastructure in which AI can be applied across all operational processes.
Kaya explained that delegating certain operational tasks to artificial intelligence would help reduce entrepreneurs' workloads.
However, he emphasized that software development teams would always be needed to manage, maintain and further develop these systems effectively.
A Model Designed to Cover All Modes of Transportation
Enes Kaya stated that Ucuza Yükle would not be limited to road transportation.
The company plans to expand its system to cover maritime, air and rail transportation.
Kaya also noted that alternative transport models, including drone-based delivery operations, could be integrated into the platform in the future.
