Starting his remarks by talking about the earthquake disaster that occurred on February 6, Doğru said that: “May God never let such a disaster happen again — not to us, nor to anyone else in the world. The catastrophe we experienced was, in a way, like a small apocalypse. However, at the end of the day, life goes on. We are compelled to stay on our feet; we are moving forward through these days. We continue to contribute to our economy.”
Continuing his remarks by stating that Hatay is, in a sense, the factory of the Middle East, Doğru said that: “There are very few factories and enterprises in Hatay. However, in terms of logistics, it holds a valuable position due to the transportation of goods coming from the Middle East. The logistics sector is predominantly concentrated here.”
Sharing the routes they serve for our readers, Doğru said that: “Before the Syrian war, our main routes were Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. After the war, however, we had to expand our routes. We extended them from Europe to Asia and the Balkans. Once trade reopens, our shipments to Syria will also resume. Our government is providing the necessary services. However, since the country is still recovering in terms of security after the war, it is not considered appropriate at the moment, and therefore our government does not currently permit it.”
Stating that they transport a wide range of product groups from fresh fruits and vegetables to bulk cargo, Doğru said the following about their fleet: “We currently have 20 self-owned vehicles in our fleet. We make an effort to keep up with technology and continuously renew our fleet. In choosing our vehicles, we primarily pay attention to fuel consumption. The more we can reduce costs, the more it benefits us. That’s why we prefer fuel-efficient vehicles.”
Concluding his remarks, Doğru said that: “Our goal is to reach the best places through perseverance. Without transportation, life comes to a halt. We want to see greater contributions made to the logistics sector. We sense that there is a current struggle. Our hope is to overcome this as soon as possible and to return to peace and prosperity with the support of our state and the efforts of our representatives.”
