DELIVERY OF 10 S-WAY TOW TRUCKS FROM IVECO TO HÜNER

IVECO authorized dealer Istanbul Fiat delivered IVECO S-WAY trucks to Hüner.

Istanbul Fiat Automotive, one of the Istanbul authorized dealers of IVECO, delivered 10 S-WAY AS440S48 T / P tow trucks to Hüner International Transport.

Due to the current pandemic conditions, Istanbul Fiat and Hüner officials paid attention not to come together by following the social distance rules during the delivery. While İbrahim Hüner, Arda Hüner and Hüseyin Hüner attended the delivery ceremony on behalf of Hüner, Heavy Vehicle Regional Sales Manager Yusuf Pekel, Istanbul Fiat General Manager Hikmet Yılgör, and Istanbul Fiat Truck Sales Manager Alper Akbay attended on behalf of IVECO. Hüner officials expressed S-WAY's new cabin, their silence and their satisfaction especially regarding the width of the cabin.

New cabin: Perfect Driving Environment

The design of the new cabin was made with the drivers' needs in mind, starting with the ideal driving position. The base of the adjustable seat was lowered and the thickness of the cushion and the back and forth distance were increased, providing the driver with a comfortable position and ideal field of vision. By keeping the bottom of the steering wheel straight, more space is left for drivers and comfort is increased.

With the ergonomic layout of the controls, all key features are placed within easy reach of the driver, and more comfortable and efficient management of the vehicle is provided. The dashboard and center have been redesigned to increase comfort and efficiency, and the new layout has increased functionality. The 7-inch capacitive touch screen provides access to the cutting-edge information and entertainment system and allows the driver to bring his digital life to the car by pairing his phone with Apple Car Play. In addition, software enhancements are available for hands-free and music streaming, including Bluetooth, DAB radio, voice recognition, truck navigation system and various hardware and cyber security. The driver can also access the Driving Style Evaluation system with 7/24 Service and Remote Service.

Numerous buttons in the center increase the possible combinations, leaving extra blank buttons to control the vehicle body or trailer. The new Stop / Start button and the integrated remote-controlled electronic switch location are conveniently located on the front panel, next to the DNR (Automatic shift controls) area.

Large, Well-Equipped Living Area

The new cabin concept creates a large living environment that leaves plenty of space for ease of movement. The redesigned ceiling, lower tunnel and shaped upper shelf offer a comfortable 2.15-meter standing area in the middle of the cabin, while the upper horizontal usable area is 35 centimeters wider than the previous model, making it easier to access the compartments with the upper bed. The features that are useful for the comfort of the driver and passenger are centered. All backlit bottle and glass holder shelves, USB and 12V sockets and a new place for A4 file are lightened for night use. The folding table in front of the passenger seat in the dashboard is comfortable and suitable for dining or desk work. High-volume compartments are conveniently located in the cab and are at a level to meet all the storage needs of the driver and all are easily accessible. The open glove compartment on the side door also has a 1.5-liter bottle holder. The redesigned top shelf offers a storage capacity of 250 liters. In addition, storage boxes on both driver and passenger sides can reach a total capacity of 375 liters.

Options for refrigerators and cold boxes for meals and drinks meet various needs. The eyelid at the top of the refrigerator allows the driver to take the drink for the beverage without opening the lid of the refrigerator completely. IVECO has undertaken extensive research to increase visual comfort in all conditions, to provide the right quality and brightness, on-site and when needed, and to illuminate the cabin perfectly in any use. The new fully LED adjustable roof lights provide backlighting as needed for night driving or ambient lighting. Two independent fully LED reading lights provide illumination for the driver and his assistant. In addition, the conveniently positioned independent buttons and rotary control knob control the entire lighting system on the shelf above the driver. At night, the door blocker for intelligent lighting prevents all lights from turning on when the door is opened.

High Comfortable Sleeping Area

The cabin of the new IVECO S-WAY is designed to maximize driver comfort during rest or night sleep. Symmetrical placement of the night area with T-shaped bottom bunk, pocket compartments and USB ports located at both ends of the bunk allow the driver to lie on the side he wants. The bed module is positioned in the center of the back wall and where it can be easily accessed, such as heating, lighting, radio, door lock, etc.

The one-piece lower bunk bed has a mattress with 2 different comfort levels, 14 centimeters thick. There are two solutions in the upper bunk bed according to different needs. It can be folded with a 8-inch-thick mattress and can be used as a suitcase space, a 60-inch-wide Smart Bunk bed or a 70-cm-wide Comfort Bunk bed with a 10-cm-thick mattress and ladder.

Perfect interior climate at all times. The air conditioning system, integrated parking cooler and heating systems provide ideal indoor air conditioning in all weather conditions, on the go or when stopped.

New Cab: Designed to Improve Fuel Efficiency

Every detail of the exterior of the cabin has been worked diligently to minimize air resistance. The new roof was perfectly attached to the front end of the vehicle and minimizes friction by creating a flat surface. The foldable front staircase that facilitates access to the windshield disappears completely when not in use. The front grille with high radius corners and side finishes, integrated headlights, new bumper design with integrated reflector, create flowing lines that optimize air flow together with the wheel arches and give the vehicle a distinctive expression.

The vehicle's aerodynamic performance has been further enhanced with additional features that cover the gaps. This includes an optimized aerodynamic kit and rubber-extended skirts to close the gap between the tractor and semi-trailer.

The door goes down to the second step with its new design and reduces the turbulence created by the speed by creating a soft surface on the sides of the cabin. While the new design elements achieve superior aerodynamic performance together, they provide a significant amount of additional fuel savings over the extraordinary fuel saving, which is the distinctive feature of the product family.

New Cab: Designed to Cut Total Cost of Ownership

In the new design of IVECO S-WAY's cabin, every savings opportunity was evaluated with various features such as multi-part bumper that allows only the affected part to be replaced instead of one piece bumper to reduce the cost. According to IVECO data, this will result in significantly lower repair costs in most cases in fleets. Significant additional savings come from the integrated parking cooler. It provides saving not only by being more effective than the alternative kit installed by the dealer, but also by having no effect on the vehicle's aerodynamic performance.

New Cab: Designed for Driver Safety

The main focus in the development of IVECO S-WAY was the driver; Cab has high passive safety with mechanical resistance complying with ECE R29.03 cab collision standards. In addition, general safety has been improved by shortening the braking distance by 15 percent with a fine adjustment to the front axle.

The new design also provides direct visibility for the driver, enhanced by one-piece side windows and rear-view mirrors. In addition, the IVECO S-WAY class has full LED headlights, which further increase safety in low-light conditions by increasing visibility and obstacle detection by 15 percent, with its sharp beams that illuminate farther.

In addition, with the IVECO S-WAY Advanced Driver Assistance Systems series, it enables the driver to manage the vehicle efficiently and safely, reducing road fatigue. The cabin also has a new design in terms of security: The design of the new door goes down to the last point and includes an additional mechanical door lock inside the cabin.

The driver-oriented new cabin design provides first-class living and working conditions are provided by wide environment, extraordinary driving ergonomics, well planned combination of functionality and comfort. The design also refers to driver safety with its reinforced structure (ECE R29.03 cab collision compliant) and provides better visibility in all conditions.

While the cabin was redesigned, IVECO used every opportunity to decrease cost and enhance productivity to increase the profitability of the customer. The new design optimizes aerodynamic performance and increases fuel efficiency, which is already excellent, by up to 4 percent. The design elements that affect the Total Cost of Ownership are features that only allow the replacement of the affected part, such as the multi-part bumper, which dramatically reduces repair costs.
