"We Aim to Dominate the Sector"

Faik Haktan Nükte, Vice Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Nükte Trailer, emphasized that they have left behind a year full of investments in an interview in which he evaluated 2025 and shared his forecasts for 2026. Stating that they carried out significant export initiatives alongside new dealership and service network expansions, Nükte said that they are targeting a market split of 60 percent domestic and 40 percent international.

We Aim to Dominate the Sector

Nükte began his remarks by stating that 2025 was an extremely productive year for the company and said:

“2025 was a year in which Nükte Trailer introduced its brand quality and reliability to its customers in line with its targets through domestic regional dealerships and international trade fairs, while also taking significant steps with new investments.

In line with our goal of having seven dealerships across seven regions in Türkiye, we commissioned our dealerships in Sakarya/Serdivan and Bodrum/Milas during the year. While continuing to rapidly expand our dealership network, we also undertook new initiatives. In order to stand by our customers with our service operations, we also carried out initiatives in this field.

In order to replicate the success we achieved in the domestic market in exports, we undertook extensive efforts and took our first step into the international arena by participating in Solutrans, our first overseas trade fair, thereby bringing our company’s high production quality and technology-oriented approach to the European market. By achieving the results we expected from the fair, we signed new agreements. In line with our targets of 60 percent domestic and 40 percent international markets, we carried out significant initiatives.

In addition to the six robots operating in various functions at our factory, we also made further investments in robotic systems.

We see technology not merely as a tool, but as a creator of value. For this reason, we have adopted a development vision that addresses not only today’s but also future needs, and we invested more than €5 million in digital sensor technologies and lightweight materials. These investments have highlighted our competitive advantage.

We achieved 90 percent of the targets we set at the beginning of the year, and accordingly updated our 2026 targets, moving them to the next level.”

“We Have Made Significant Improvements to Our Products”

Nükte stated that they have made improvements to their products through design- and technology-driven R&D and product development activities, adding:

“In particular, the innovations we introduced in our Accordion Tipper have attracted significant attention abroad. With our Pool Tipper, we have succeeded in addressing needs related to carbon emissions, tipping performance and fuel efficiency. For 2026, our initial focus will be on implementing developments in our core products to meet diverse requirements.”

“We Have Taken Our Quality to the Next Level with Investments in Infrastructure and Human Resources”

Sharing that they also invested in infrastructure and human resources in 2025, Nükte continued as follows:

“With the new laser plasma unit we added to our production line, we significantly increased our production speed and capacity, achieving improvements in lead times. By strengthening our Engineering, Quality Control, SSH and Foreign Trade departments with professional teams, we succeeded in elevating the quality of our sales and after-sales services to a higher level.”

“With Our Trade Fair Participation, We Will Be Closer to Our Target Market Customers Abroad”

Pointing out that trailer exports declined by 17 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year, Nükte stated that export performance across the sector, particularly in heavy commercial vehicles and tractor units, remained weak compared to the post-pandemic recovery period. Nevertheless, he emphasized that they will continue their export efforts and noted that with their participation in internationally prestigious trade fairs such as IAA Hannover in 2026, they will be closer to customers in their target markets.

“In 2026, We Will Focus on Smart Growth”

Stating that they view 2026 as a year focused not on growth alone but on smart growth, Nükte explained that on the product side they will prioritize durability, standardization and customized solutions tailored to customer needs, while on the market side they will pursue a strategy of deepening their presence in existing geographies and selectively entering new markets. He also said that they aim to establish an organizational structure that simplifies processes, ensures sustainable quality and enables faster decision-making in the field.

“We Are Planning Production of 600–750 Units in 2026”

Nükte also stated that, together with the investments made in 2025, they are planning production in the range of 600–750 units for 2026, and said:

“Our factory’s current total capacity is 1,200 units, and with this target, we aim to utilize approximately 70–75 percent of our capacity.”

Nükte added that they meet customer expectations across all key criteria, including the type of cargo to be transported, sheet metal quality and thickness, hydraulic system quality, chassis and frame connections, tipper weight, rollover safety, workmanship and welding quality, service and spare parts accessibility, purpose-oriented design, and total cost of ownership, emphasizing that they always deliver products of the highest quality.

“For Us, Quality Is Not a Choice, It Is the Core Stance of Our Brand”

Stating that although standards vary across domestic and international markets and according to market requirements, none of these aspects are insignificant or negotiable for them, Nükte emphasized that they have never compromised on quality despite changing standards and expectations in production. He said:

“Since the very first day we entered the trailer sector, we have never compromised on quality for the sake of short-term gains; for us, quality is not a choice, but the fundamental stance of our brand.”

Noting that production and market fluctuations, as well as weak global freight demand in certain regions during the 2025–2026 period, have led to delays and cancellations in trailer orders and disruptions in supply chains, Nükte stated that this situation has forced manufacturers to reassess inventory, pricing and capacity risks, adding:

“After the first quarter, the picture will become clearer.”

Pointing out that regulations and safety standards have become stricter in Europe and other markets, Nükte stated that this implies more advanced trailer designs, upgraded safety equipment and additional compliance costs, and emphasized that manufacturers must position themselves accordingly.

“We Aim to Dominate the Sector”

Concluding his remarks, Nükte said:

“As the Nükte Trailer family, which set out with the motto ‘Know who stands behind you’ and has adopted customer satisfaction as a principle, we aim to dominate the sector through continuous innovation while always standing by our customers both before and after sales.”
