Ömer Güngör, Chairman Of S.S. Yeşilhisar Motor Carriers Cooperative: The Persons Serving In This Sector And The Organizations Should Be Provided To Look The Future With Confidence"

As My Truck Magazine, we continue to visit cooperatives. In this context, our next stop in Kayseri was S.S. Yeşilhisar Motor Carriers Cooperative. The Chairman of the cooperative, Ömer Güngör, said in our conversation about the sector that; “Our heavy commercial vehicles are also our workplaces, our shops. Our vehicles cannot be inspected due to other tax debts such as MVT and traffic penalties. The vehicle, whose physical examination is not done, is banned from traffic; so the shop is closed.”

Highlights from our interview;

“Our cooperative has 112 members. There are nearly 200 vehicles belonging to our members. Our members are primarily working for the transportation of the ore extracted in Yahyalı district to Yeşilhisar and the transportation of the crops of our farmers. Approximately 250 thousand tons of beets and crops of our farmers from Yeşilhisar and İncesu are transported out of the city annually by our members. Our cooperative is based on 10 thousand m2 of land; administrative building consists of maintenance and repair center, guesthouse and meeting hall. Our cooperative serves the people of Yeşilhisar with 3 beet cleaning and loading, 2 beet harvesting machines, 2 cars, 1 truck and 2 diggers. Our cooperative has not been able to provide services to the people of Yeşilhisar in the past years and it has grown and continues to grow with each passing year by closely following the agricultural technology of the age. ”

“It Is Impossible To Take A 45-Minute Break After The First Four And A Half Hours, To Take An 11-Hour Break After The Second Four And A Half Hours In Our Country”

“Smart tachographs were installed in our vehicles under the new laws, but when the practice is started, there will be great problems. It is impossible to take a 45-minute break after the first four and a half hours, and a 11-hour break after the second four and a half hours in our country. There are no stopovers on our roads. So where are we going to wait 11 hours? If we wait at the petrol station, which station will allow it? Pulling over on the roadside means endangering both traffic and the life of the drivers and the load. We are required to report Smart tachograph data per 28 days to Turkey Chambers and Stock Exchanges Union (TOBB). From the data we have reported, it is said that we will be subject to unquestioned criminal proceedings without any question in matters such as timeout and speed-out. Since the infrastructure of our country is not suitable for this system, for example; when our time expires in any mountain of our country, we will face criminal proceedings due to the violation of the time we have made until we go to the facility to rest. ”

“50 Percent Of Our Truck Drivers Still Can't Use Smart Devices”

“The freight loaded on the vehicles are required to be enter to the U-ETDS system within six hours. 50 percent of our truck drivers still cant use smart devices. It is said that criminal proceedings will be applied when no notification is made. This notification has to be given by the firm that loaded the freight, not by us. ”

“Weighing Differences Between Weight Control Points Should Be Eliminated In Someway”

“Weighing differences need to be eliminated between the weight control points. One weighbridge weighs 41 thousand 800 kilograms and the other weighs 42 thousand 600 kilograms. As a result of these weighing errors, our tradesmen are victimized and subjected to criminal processing. The problems must be eliminated and the scales must be corrected. ”

“Tons / Kilometers, Base and Maximum Prices Need to Be Determined Urgently by the Ministry”

“Tons of/ kilometers; which means what is the price of carrying a ton of cargo? In our country, this has no infrastructure. The infrastructure couldn't be created. This causes our tradesmen to disappear because of unfair competition. Tons / kilometers, base and maximum prices need to be determined urgently by the Ministry. ”

“It is Necessary to Eliminate the Double Standard and Inspect Our Vehicles Even if They Have Debts”

“Our heavy commercial vehicles are also our workplaces and shops. Our vehicles cannot be inspected due to other tax debts such as MVT and traffic penalties. The vehicle, whose physical inspection is not done is banned from traffic; so the shop is closed. However, no matter how much tax you owe in other branches of business, the enterprise remains open and can continue its operations. This double standard should be eliminated and our vehicles should be examined even if they have debts. In addition to our heavy commercial vehicles; plate recognition should be brought, the dignity of this profession should be preserved, and it should be ensured that individuals and organizations serving in this sector should at least look to the future with confidence. Our tradesmen bought oil from X oil company, took the receipt of the diesel to the bill, but the company did not record this sale in the records. 2-3 years have passed since this, the oil company is under investigation and our tradesmen become victims due to their mistakes. Such grievances are experienced. Necessary infrastructure must be established and precautions must be taken to avoid these. ”

“Liability Insurance Must Be Revised Urgently For Heavy Commercial Vehicles”

 “Liability insurance must be reorganized urgently for heavy commercial vehicles. This unfair gain should be prevented by determining the base and maximum prices by the state insurers. For example; if the vehicle is unjustly involved in an accident with material damage 3 times, the compulsory traffic insurance of the vehicle increases from 17 thousand lira to 3 thousand 800 lira. This problem needs to be corrected urgently. ”

“This is Destroying Those Who Do Domestic Transportation, Making Them Unable To Work”

“While vehicles working abroad enter our country through border gates, they can get 400 liters of fuel at half the domestic price, which creates unfair competition. It destroys domestic transporters; makes it almost impossible to do work. Vehicles operating abroad must be prevented from undermining the domestic market. In addition, in order to support heavy commercial vehicles that do domestic transportation, the transition prices should be reduced by 50 percent on all bridges and highways from 20.00 to 06.00 in the morning. ”

“Old Vehicles Both Pollute Our Environment and They Also Increase the Expense Items of Tradesmen”

“The taxi driver tradesmen were given the opportunity to renew their vehicles by removing the excise duty exclusively. We would like to be assisted in the renewal of our vehicles by providing similar opportunities and loans. Old vehicles pollute our environment and they also increase the expense items of the tradesmen. ”

“Our Invoices Regarding Which We Have Difficulty in Collecting Legally Should Be Secured By The State And Our Tradesmen Should Be Protected”

“Domestic transportation of vehicles with C2 authorization certificate should be supervised. Authorization documents such as H1 and K1 should also be fully audited. Our invoices regarding which we have difficulty in collecting legally, should be secured by the state and our tradesmen should be protected. ”
