Ford Trucks, the global brand of the heavy commercial vehicle industry, introduced its new F-LINE series at the launch event in Antalya. F-LINE series, whose design and development bears the signature of Ford Trucks; In addition to its connected vehicle technologies and advanced security features, it also attracts attention with its comfort and modern design.

Acting with the understanding of 'Together in Every Load', Ford Trucks designed the F-LINE series by taking into account market demands and customer requirements. The series focuses on providing efficiency, satisfaction and reliability at every stage of the customer experience; its innovation and versatility enable the company to serve a wider range of customers in the heavy commercial vehicle industry.

The series consists of 3 segments offering high performance: road trucks, construction trucks and tractors.

At the event organized by Ford Trucks, which operates in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the CIS and continues to expand its international network on three continents, My Truck Magazine Editor-in-Chief Nuray Pekcan met with Ford Trucks Turkey and International Markets Marketing Manager Emine Coşkun. Coşkun shared his excitement, pride and happiness with members of the industry and the press at the event where the new generation F-LINE series was introduced, held with the slogan #nobodycanstopontheroad. He provided details about the series, which will be offered both in Turkey and international markets as of February 2024, for our readers.

Starting his speech by stating that they are proud to be a brand that designs, develops and produces engines, axles and transmissions on its own, and sells our vehicles produced in Eskişehir all over the world; Coşkun explained the birth of the F-LINE series by saying that; “In the F-LINE series, we set out with inspiration from F-MAX, which was selected as the 'Truck of the Year' in 2019. This series of vehicles that complement each other will be on the roads with F-MAX both in Turkey and in all the countries we are in, as of February 2024.”

Reinforced with safety technologies and representing the highest level of driving pleasure, the F-LINE series draws attention with its many features such as Rear View Camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Emergency Brake Lamps, and Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Automatic High Beam and Lane Tracking System. Coşkun stated that the features are not limited to these only and said that; “First of all, our vehicle has Alcohol Lock Preparation. This technology detects the driver's alcohol consumption and prevents the engine from starting if the driver is drunk. In addition, we offer many technologies in our new series, such as the Blind Spot Warning System, Traffic Sign Recognition System, and Smart Adaptive Cruise Control System with Stop-and-Go Feature, which are also available in F-MAX.”

Ergonomics, Comfort and Efficiency…

The cabin and exterior of the F-LINE series have been developed to increase ergonomics, comfort and efficiency. While maximum comfort and quality come to the fore in interior design; the exterior design provides a stylish, dynamic and eye-catching appearance. The 9-inch multimedia screen, with which drivers can manage many functions in the vehicle, renewed seat fabrics, and new steering wheel and control buttons increase driving comfort. While the renewed grille, bumper, headlights, fender, door and mirror coverings combine power and style, they also support ergonomics by making it easier to enter and exit the vehicle with the renewed design. Coşkun detailed the changes they made in the interior design as the following; “We expanded the storage areas, opened new areas in the center console where drivers can put their belongings, and we have USB ports. We provide drivers with the comfort to access all features.”

Thanks to connected vehicle technologies, efficiency solutions are offered that will increase the operating time of vehicles to 100 percent and provide optimum performance such as remote diagnosis and software updates. Stating that they offer the connected vehicle technology ConnecTruck in the F-LINE series, Coşkun continued his words as follows; “We started to offer connected vehicle technology with F-MAX, and now we continue to offer it in the F-LINE series. This technology prevents our customers from being stranded on the road by instantly monitoring vehicle data remotely and using predictive malfunction algorithms. In addition, it provides customers with both comfort in their journeys and savings in their business with its improved driver programs that provide fuel savings of almost 5 percent.”

Giving information about Ford Trucks Care and the 'Uptime' feature, which is one of the important features under this ecosystem, Coşkun said that; “Regarding this feature, we opened our new technology customer center in Istanbul in June. Here, our friends, especially for fleets, follow the vehicles instantly and live on a large screen. With predictive maintenance, precautions are taken before the vehicle remains on the road. With this technology, which makes life easier by writing algorithms according to the usage characteristics of the driver and the vehicle, fleet owners can follow the data showing where their vehicles are at the moment and how they are performing, both through our web portal and mobile applications.”
